Don't forget to pay the tax on the filing of your taxes! This is outrageous! Have these lawmakers no shame?

We need to nip this awful idea in the bud. Please ping all Oklahomans.

Aren't you alreay taxed once on that money? Say, on that line that says Tax?
I am getting a whole $4 in state income tax refunds this year.
So what would I get under her plan? $3.57?

"We tried to keep it so it is progressive and it would be no more than $10," she said.
The money raised through the fee would go toward environmental programs, she said.
These two lines from the article show her to be the socialist she is.

Not only that, but Oklahoma has a bad history for raising taxes for one project, and the money going somewhere else. Often, it's hard to even know where else. Environment? I suspect that would mean for professional landscaping for democrat private homes!

The Oklahomans I know are saying that Rep. Blackburn is A LOT better than having Dean or Kerry in the state legislature, who would have proposed at least a $20 tax-filing tax.
We should keep things in perspective.

Didn't our forefathers once go to war over double taxation?
Since this person is an educator (see bio) it doesn't surprise me that she doesn't understand that filing taxes is NOT a taxable product or service. It is a legal requirement of the state government and, by definition, is not taxable.
OTOH, if obeying the law becomes taxable, Oklahoma will soon repeat its history as the dustbowl state; there won't be anyone left living there to pay ANY taxes.

My perspective is--paying taxes on taxes is outrageous. She's not in my district, so I can't vote against her. But that doesn't mean we can't alert people to this despicable scheme.
