U Michigan consumer sentiment 103.8 in Jan final Friday January 30, 9:58 am ET

 NEW YORK, Jan 30 (Reuters) - The University of Michigan's
final January index of consumer sentiment rose to 103.8 from
December's final reading of 92.6, according to a report released
on Friday and seen by market sources.
 Economists polled by Reuters had expected a median reading
of 103.0. Below is a table of the survey's components:

 THE SURVEY: The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment
index, which is released directly to subscribers, is made up
each month with calls to about 500 households. The preliminary
survey consists of about 300 responses while the final survey is
rounded out at month's end with another 200 responses.

Wind,

Looks like everything has already been over priced in to the DOW and NAS. Only negative so far with each release today and it was supposed to be a BIG day with these releases coming out. Guess as a trader it depends on whether the glass is half full or half empty.

More precisely, as an engineer, the glass is simply twice as big as it needs to be.
