"The major problems are diesel emissions,

Yea diesel emissions, that could be "the major problem" with trucks coming freely, un-checked across the border.

Time to listen to your base, El Presidente: Enough pandering to the Mexicans.

The Democrats just gave you a huge present by outlining their amnesty plans which are even worse than yours, but don't push your luck on this one. We're damned tired of Mexico getting favors it doesn't deserve. Where the Hell is the reciprocity from Fox??? Haven't seen them do a damn thing for the US - NOT ONE!!!

I'm for free trade, and he may be doing what's right by the issue, I don't know. But on its face this looks like another pander to Hispanics.

And IMO the consequences of pandering to Hispanics is far worse then just illegals and trucks.

Pandering to any ethnic group rewards them for putting their ethnic identity before the interests of America.

I Know many people who have all sorts of different backgrounds, German, Italian, English, Irish, etc and some of them value their cultural roots but I don't know a one of them who puts their ethnic identity above their American identity.

The fact that many Hispanics are putting their Hispanic tribal interests before their Americanness, and that it is being enocouraged, is disturbing and may cause long term damage to this country.

Trucking in the US is already in some trouble. independent truckers are a fairly conservative group as well. Too bad for them!

Yesterday it was the NEA--now my roads will be full of foreign drivers. Soaring deficit, big spending, amnesty for lawbreakers...

And the truckers I know will get new competition from non-Americans.

I sure would like to ask W a few questions. Every day, a new thing to dismay me. Is he trying to drive away my vote with a sharp stick?

Title should read "Buch creates more jobs for illegals that Americans won't do".

President Bush earnestly seeking to depress wages in the trucking industry making room for guest worker applicants.
Everyone will benefit.

Everytime I turn around Bush is doing something to help out the Mexicans. What is with this guy? What does Fox have on him? I wish he would work half as hard for the American Taxpayer as he does for the Mexican crowd.

But critics say Bush is using the trucking issue to forge better ties with Mexico and special interest groups while ignoring the American worker................

Screw the American worker. Send him out to fight in Iraq, Afgahnistan and elsewhere. (/sarcasm)

Does Fox have blackmail photos or something? This is just wrong to keep pandering like this. Why should we suffer emissions and another country gets a free pass to muck up our air. I always thought some of the brown cloud coming into Phoenix came from L.A.. Maybe it's really coming from Mexico.

Here's an interesting forecast. Check out the website for other interesting data: ops.fhwa.dot.gov

Do you live or work near one of the heavy green lines? I do... and it's one of the main corridors for freight headed to the northeast (I-10 and I-12 through Louisiana, and I-59 north through Mississippi and into Alabama).

Hey, archy... looks like Memphis is a "chokepoint" for another freight corridor to the northeast. That information is, shall we say... interesting.

Declaration of US delegates at Meeting Against FTAA in Cuba

We who are delegates from lands stolen from indigenous peoples, now called “the United States”, wish to express our deep appreciation to Cuba and to the Cuban people for their hospitality, generosity, and forbearance towards us.

We are grateful for all we have experienced, and for all we have gained from being here.

We have learned much from our fellow delegates, we realize we have much yet to learn from your levels of comprehension, organization, an articulation of issues gravely concerning us all. We applaud, and hope to emulate your inspiring faith in, and determination to realize, a world where enemies cease to exist, a world where all who live, find themselves at home

Uhh, what kind of trucks? Big panel jobs filled with illegal invaders.

Bush is pushing all the wrong button here. The votes he's courting will never be his and he will more of ours than he will gain of theirs.

Carl Rove should take a long vacation - to Mexico, and come back in 2008.

When are the American people going to wake up and realize that Bush was elected to serve the Mexican people and not us?
