All things in moderation, is my motto these days. We have no idea what eating this way can do to our bodies 20 years from now. In fact, I hear they're telling Adkins folks to cut back on the portions of meat they're eating because of the fat. There's a different diet for every person alive, I think. Cut back on the amount you eat and go for a nice walk or work out in the gym. You'll get there eventually.

< pet peeve>It's ATkins - ATkins not Adkins. When you dismissing something at least show enough knowledge of the subject to spell it correctly. You can always tell someone who has a strong opinion, yet has no knowledge of Atkins, yet by the fact they all spell his name the same way.< /pet peeve>

That was the New York Times making things up again, as usual. The Atkins folks have denied saying any such thing.

People have been doing Atkins for 30 years and not one medical study has ever shown that it is harmful.
