Good Morning Carlo! I have tried this many times, even for company and it is great, and I do cut the leftovers in single portions and freeze it. Yum!!

LowCarb Crockpot Turkey Chili
- Ground turkey 1 pound
- Onion, minced 3/4 cup
- Water 3 cups
- Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Chili powder 1 tablespoon
- 1/4 tsp. dry red pepper flakes (more or less to taste, or leave out)
- Dry parsley flakes 1 tablespoon
- Paprika 1 teaspoon
- Dry mustard 2 teaspoons
- 1 15-1/2 ounce can red kidney beans, drained
- Tomato paste 1 6 ounce can
- Pearl barley 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese, shredded 3/4 cup
1) If using fresh turkey, in large sauce pan, cook turkey and onions in butter until turkey is browned and no longer pink in color, about 9 minutes. Drain; Dice and return turkey and onions to pan.
(If using ground turkey skip #1, and sauté ground turkey in onions)
2) Add remaining ingredients except the cheese to turkey mixture; bring to boil, stirring frequently.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3) Place everything into crockpot, and cover. Cook on low for 2 plus hours.
4) Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of cheese over each serving of chili.
