The bomber was a Palestinian police officer — causing much chagrin within the Palestinian Authority

(snort)

Yeah, right.

U.N. Security Council Refuses to Condemn Attack 06:19 Jan 30, '04 / 7 Shevat 5764

(IsraelNN.com) UN Security Council envoys, led by the U.S., met last night in an attempt to condemn yesterdays terror attack in Jerusalem which left 10 people dead; but the bid was torpedoed by a faction led by Algeria. The Algerians were attempting instead to condemn Israel in light of the self-defense raid it undertook in Gaza on Wednesday. “There will be no statement tonight. It’s dead,” said the Algerian ambassador.

Meanwhile, Secretary-General of the U.N. issued a statement condemning both sides for “violence and terror.” Marc Stern, an official of the American Jewish Congress, shot back, “Terrorism aimed at the random killing of civilians is clearly outlawed by international law, while self-defense by (U.N.) member-states is clearly allowed under international law.” (Reuters)

The sick Islamic mind at work, can't tell the difference between bombing civilians and shooting at gunmen.

Pointless. Put Arafat's and Yassin's heads on spikes in the public square, then invite their successors to either parlay or die.

Waging a war like it's tennis brutalizes both sides and a watching world.

They are an evil and violent people who delight in bloodletting and child sacrifice.

Wow. Until I read that, it had never occurred to me that child sacrifice is exactly what they are doing.

Operation reciprocity

More like "Operation Generate Headlines" followed by "Operation Run Away" and capped off by "Operation Further Concessions to Help Our Enemies Drive Us Into The Sea"

Israel is finished as a nation. In 20 years it will not exist. They have learned nothing from the Diaspora, the Holocaust, the Arab Pogroms, the 1967 and 1973 wars. NOTHING. It is beyond pathetic. Why put us through all this torture? Just have a simple ceremony with Sharon handing the key to Israel over to Arafat on the Temple Mount, followed by all the Jews building gas chambers in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and then walking into them. They might as well get it over with. The prisoner giveaway marks the lowest point in the young history of Israel. Can you imagine how many Jews can be killed by the 400 potential suicide bombers Sharon released yesterday? 100? 1000? 4,000??? I am heartsick tonight. Sharon is a piece of excrement.

There are more forces exerting pressure on the Israeli government then you can imagine. What Israel needs is a leader that can fend off those pressures, however, that would risk losing US support in the UN leading to UN peacekeepers coming in.

All they'll do is slap arafart's hand and make him promise not to order mass murder again.

Ubfortunately you are right. Why is this POS still breathing.

From your lips... to God's ears.
They are gonna need a lot more than 20 vehicles.
Hope this is bigger than the "massacre" that never happened...
at Jenin.
I ain't betting on it. Ariel said he would give away Golan.
He's afraid to stand up to the US state department and their resident arabist/globalist cadre.

... where does the buck stop?
typically with the man who hired the sec of state. But in an election year, who knows?

bulldozing the house aint' enough yoni... never worked before.

A demonstration of the principle of "sowing and reaping" would however... 30 60 or 100 fold... MIGHT get the death cult followers attention.

doubtful that the usa will let Israel stand and fight in an important "election year" what with all those supreme court justice vacancies at stake... right?

Why don't we go over there and fence both outfits in, give them plenty of arms and ammo, and let them go at it. It would save us billions of dollars per year. These two bands have both proven they are not interested in peace. Let them blow each other up and get it over with..

Yes. If thousands upon thosands of US citizens had been killed and maimed by insurgents from, say, Cuba, over tens years, that country would not exist today.

And my point regarding the obvious double standard of the "world community" is this: If Israel is already hated by the anti-Semites of the "world community", why not shrug that off and defend herself anyway. The answer is the Leftists who are in control of US State Department policy will not let them, and they do not have the will to tell the USSD to piss off (like we rightfully told the UN and the "world community" regarding Afghanistan and Iraq).

Of course. However, Israel cannot do it because it would entail destroying an entity which is part of the roadmap to "peace" the Palestinian Authority. And the US is not ready to abandon it yet.

My fear is that if they piss off the US, they will not back Israel with its veto power in the Security Council and then the UN will vote to send "peacekeepers" into the PLO areas, which will be a disaster.

Are you saying that the UN will do to Israel, a nuclear power, what they have not done with Syria in Lebanon? The UNSC resolution ordering Syria to "immediately" withdraw from Lebanon is over 20 years old. There has been no "enforcement" actions whatsoever. I agree that ISrael must say no more often (or at ALL!) The minimum Israel needs to insist upon is that for every Jew evicted from Judea, Samaria or Gaza, one or more Arabs will be evicted from inside the "Green Line". I am amazed that this has never even been brought up in "talks". The blatant ethnic cleansing inherent in the demand for a "Judenrein" Judea/Samaria is breathtaking. How Israel can accept this to any degree demonstrates why it is very likely Israel will not exist in 25 years. The situation is not good.

Why do you feel Israel is not interested in peace?

Also, it is far more then those "Palestinians" doing the terror but a whole militant Islamic ideology which seeks to destroy the United States as well.

They will be sent into areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority, areas Israel is not in. In addition, this will be the same game the UN is playing in southern Lebanon, giving cover to Hizbullah.
