I know many conservatives are unhappy with some of Dubya's recent policy decisions, and I understand how some now believe he is not a conservative (a "CINO"?) A fair point. But to see him called a RINO -- now THAT is just ridiculous.

I cannot disagree. It's just that the Republicans have lurched left.

Never would I have thought that I would see a Republican president INCREASE the NEA by 25%.

Well Sir, how about we check and see exactly WHERE this extra NEA money goes.

If this money goes to support exhibits that mock religion and our flag, for example, then Dubya would deserve to be chastised.

Somehow, I think the money will be shifted. Just wait -- when the budget comes out and if it does move money away from the Karen Finley types and other vermin, the libs will scream bloody murder. Then Dubya can claim he raised funding, the 'Rats lose another issue, and the vermin are defunded.

I would see a Republican president INCREASE the NEA by 25%.

This is preemptive, the Presidents budget comes out Monday, and the libs are going to howl. He has held the line at 3% including the Medicare entitlement and Defense. I have not seen where the cuts will be in other programs, but the dims will go on the attack. Remember, if one of their programs is raised 2% instead of 3% it is a cut to them.

Where did you get 25% for NEA increase and while you are at it, do you know what the increase is going to fund?
