Come on, do better than name calling. Just because a group of us agree on something, we're sheep?
What if we called the Constitutionists names? And back and forth and back and forth.....no one would get anywhere.
The quote was great, but stop the name calling.

If we don't increase federal spending by record amounts, then the terrorists have already won. ;^)
Jim, I think it's obvious from the posts of many people that you know to be firm Conservatives, that Bush has a serious problem with his base. Now, maybe Rove and he have done the calculus: For every conservative vote they lose, they gain 3 'Day In The Life'-mom votes. That's fine; heck, if I were a politician, I might do the same thing. But I can't vote for it.

I would see a Republican president INCREASE the NEA by 25%.This is preemptive, the Presidents budget comes out Monday, and the libs are going to howl. He has held the line at 3% including the Medicare entitlement and Defense. I have not seen where the cuts will be in other programs, but the dims will go on the attack. Remember, if one of their programs is raised 2% instead of 3% it is a cut to them.
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist; Jim Robinson
NO, you see, Jim doesn't have to convince us to vote for the President.
We're smart enough to do it all by ourselves...........and you???

You hit on something that everyone on this thread should consider: donating money. If conservatives are so fed up with bloated government and spineless Republicans, they should stop donating their hard-earned money to their campaigns. Republicans would take notice real quick.
Money is the oil that greases the political machine, and like it or not, we need to remember that.

I vote for conservative Republicans in the
primaries. If they lose, and a centrist (like Bush) gets the nomination, then I vote for him in the general election. If there were truly
no difference between the two major parties, I'd consider voting Contitution Party. But a difference there is, however slight it may appear sometimes.
The key is to bring what is now the center over to the right side of the political spectrum. But one doesn't do that by playing around with Presidential politics -- voting third party and helping to get a Rat elected. It's done by local, grassroots political movements (like here at FR).
Otoh, it's irresponsible of conservatives NOT to hold Bush's feet to the fire when he wanders off the reservation. It's certainly not the way to "roll back decades of governmental largesse, root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America."
We must be tough with our own. If we don't, the differences between the two major parties will become indistinguishable one day.

Thank you Jim! Your wonderful FR and Rush help me keep my sanity. God Bless you and your family.

Where did you get 25% for NEA increase and while you are at it, do you know what the increase is going to fund?

It's time to close ranks and support the man who has restored honor and dignity to the White House and has made America a safer place. I shudder to think of any other alternative. Exactly. Imagine the brave men and women of our military saluting Commander in Chief John F'in Kerry? Yikes!

Very well, Mr Robinson, and thanks for responding.
I fear you are wrong, and I must be honest about this. Even if it is unpopular. The election was the President's to win or lose; the Democrat Party was in tatters, running eight candidates shredding each other, and giving them this issue was a grievous error.
Give eight million people a 'temporary' stay.......it won't be a temporary stay. They won't leave. They will not voluntarily 'repatriate' themselves when the time comes. The Democrats will spend the next four years getting them citizenship, programs, you name it, and the Republicans will be powerless to cap this Pandora's Box.
It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that I offer my prediction. President Hillary Rodham Clinton, 2008. Elected by legions of new loyal subjects, bought and paid for by you and I

How many posting guidelines were broken with that post? That's little more than one long abusive diatribe, and it does nothing but incite a flamefest. You should be ashamed.

"Sorry Jim, you can convince the flock of sheep here to vote for Bush. But my vote's going to the Constitution Party." That's fine by me. How many voters you guys got signed up now?

Well Sir, how about we check and see exactly WHERE this extra NEA money goes.I understand your point -- but the arts is not a place for ANY federal spending. I want to roll back decades of government largesse.

Conservatives need to hold the administration accountable where they've failed, and praise good policy. The blanket condemnations and blanket praise I see on many threads here do nothing to promote conservative policy. Another voice of sanity in the wilderness among the Bush high-fivers and cheerleaders.
Every election cycle the Republican Party promises to cut government and enact significant tax reform. And when they're safely in office they're no different than the Rats.
The only good thing Bush has done is go after 9/11 terrorists with a vengeance. But look at the whole picture; remember the China spy-plane debacle? His silence concerning white farmers in Zimbabwe? $15 billion dollars to Africa to fight AIDS? Come on....
