It is a lie. If memory serves me, the independent commission came up as a Democratic response / comment on Kay's testimony. Kennedy could not lead Kay there or get the condemnation of Bush he wanted.

How long before they promise to jail Bush, Rice, Powell, Rumsfeld, Chaney, Etc. "Hold accountable" is sort of a shorthand. Carville came pretty close to such a demand on Crossfire before this debate.

During the local news I saw 3 Edwards commericals, 2 Kerry and 2 Clark. None for Dean.

And you're not going to see any Dean commercials here or in any other upcoming primary state on the same day as ours. We've known for a few days here that Dean's campaign is strapped for cash. Fox News just confirmed this, no Dean commercials.

You're exactly right. Almost every one of them asked him about an outside investigation, even McCain; the ONLY commitment he made was saying something along the lines of "Well, that always helps."
