They
should have taken a left turn in Albuquerque.

I'm sitting about 1/4 mile from the terminal, without the FReep I'd have no idea.
Probably some Easterner ate at LaHacienda Express and the result is a WMD false alarm.

"If it is *nothing* then wonderful...but the possibility remains that it could be *something worth taking seriously*. Better to be safe than sorry. imho."
Hmm...as someone who flies regularly, I'd much rather they didn't evacuate the airport every time they find a nail-clipper that got past the checkpoint. Let me ask you something. In all of the airport evacuations that have happened since 9/11, has anything ever been actually found? The answer is no.

Yes, and New Mexico's governor is clintoon's former head of the "Succulent & Cheap U.S. Nuke Secrets Drive-Thru."

Lets disband homeland security.

Sure, I've got the live Airport Cam up on my screen, but the picture quality is low. I'll meet you out front.

Also Kirtland Air Force base is right next to it

You know, since we remodeled the lab, there's no shower in the building! Dang!

For those who never heard of it ,Albuquerque is in New Mexico ...and New Mexico is a state in the USA You'd be surprised. I remember this from the 1996 Olympics:
Don't Drink The Water
Atlanta's Bob Romano is doing his part to promote international goodwill during the Games. Having read about Santa Fe, N.Mex., resident Wade Miller, who was told by ACOG that he couldn't order tickets by phone from "a foreign country," Romano has turned his house into the unofficial New Mexico consulate.
The state flag flies over the lawn, and the walls are covered with tourism posters. "We'll serve New Mexican food," says Romano, who's also offering New Mex expats his home-brewed Bob's Olympic Beer ("imported from New Mexico"). In a diplomatic gesture, he got two volleyball tickets for Miller, who will arrive in Atlanta next week - if his visa is in order.

Exactly. But the real weapons that continue to escape detection post-911 -- all the guns and knives, etc. -- do not cause evacuations only because the humans and the machines fail to see them!

While I don't fly regularly (only 3-4 times per year) I appreciate the attempt being made to secure my personal safety. It may not be fool proof... it even may be bothersome, frustrating and tedious to frequent fliers...but I appreciate the attempt all the same.

Well TS and I went out and looked. There are still planes taking off and landing so they are not diverting. A co-worker told us that the access roads into and out of the airport are closed. We don't have a shower here so I will have to take a sponge bath.

Well, Cougar and I went outside and looked. Other than a couple news choppers and the access roads blocked, nothing is apparent. Planes are still taking off and landing. Saw no activity from the airport police.
