For so many of you who have fought this fight for so long, I applaud you and know our resources collectively will make us a contention to deal with in Washington.
I only ask that the flaming and arguments be kept out of this thread and chitchat kept minimal. This is meant to be an informative thread on the issue of keeping our country safe.

I am here to help! ..Just let me know. Illegal Immigration is the number one weakness with our President's domestic policy. It is a threat to our culture, religion, and english language which drives our success as a country! I am tired of this administration turning the other cheek, as you are. God bless you!

Sorry to see that you were setup like that. It's amazing how they can put quote marks around something that they heard you "said" from a third party. Typical tactics...lump you in the the worst of the worst.

Those who are out to win on this issue (and I do NOT mean the people, good citizens of this country who have legitmate concerns) will use any tactic including lies and attempts to defame and label, will use any means to muzzle us. They are trying to do the same with Tancredo using any means possible to punish him for his stand. These sick tactics makes me even more strong in my resolve to write in Tancredo in the election. God Bless JustPiper.

Can anything good come from the Southern Poverty Law center?
These are the racists who produced "Gathering Storm:Americas' militia threat" and the same wicked people who cellibrated Myron Thompsons Klannish decision in
Glassroth v.Moore.

That article is such an outrage, I don't know where to begin! I wish you could sue him. It's hideous the way those of us who just want our laws enforced, we are the ones who are slammed and criticized and called vile names. Those who are actually breaking the laws cannot even be called "illegal" lest they be "offended." We truly live in an upside-down world.

JP -
Worry not your troubled heart about the smear. I know it's infuriating and frustrating that you have no effective recourse for response, however, this issue is generating major response from Americans of all walks. Neither Bush/Rove, nor the idiots who believe that illegal immigrants are entitled to amnesty/citizenship will win this one. There are more of us than corrupt politicians who can stuff ballot boxes.
W is flat out wrong on this issue and will take a nose dive over this and the NEA funding issue. The excellent work you have done in staying on top of this issue inspires more of us to speak out against it. If we all write in Tom Tancredo in our state primaries instead of dutifully checking Bush for Pres., perhaps Bush/Rove will get the hint.
As I have maintained since Bush proposed his "immigration reform", if breaking the law is supposed to be beneficial for one segment of our society, think how spectacular it will be if we ALL break the law!!!
Either we are a nation of laws or we aren't; Bush can't have it both ways. If we aren't a nation of laws, Bush's proposed "immigration reform" will make us a nation of men.

You were quoted from your fr posts by DU and SPLC - congrats! If you're cheesing these people off, you must be doing something right.
I remember reading the thread in question, and your reports from the frontlines - great stuff, kinda scary, but you survived and got experience. And now you've gotten a taste of how the immigration front works - calling a critic "racist", taking comments out of context to show it, all part of the tactics. You're gonna have to figure out a way to deal with the personal attacks and smears if you intend to get involved at the next level. You can do it. Stay the course.
Also, thanks for the links.
