Your missing the big picture. Hillary is already well known, and will be remembered nomatter what. Geraldine Ferraro was an affermative action candidate, pure and simple. Hillary, for good or ill, is a major power player, and that isn't going to change soon.

Think of Mondale. Mondale boosted his chances (at least in the nomination process) by being veep. It would be similar with Hillary.

"The clintons will pick [the frontrunners] off one by one."

You (and Tyrrell) have the scenario almost right. The clintons fielded three candidates: Dean, Edwards and Clark. The winner from among them will be the '04 sacrificial lamb; or if race ends in a tie, Hillary can be "drafted" at the convention. This is a win-win for the clintons. Kerry, on the other hand, is the Kennedy's man. Kerry has always been the one to watch out for...both for the clintons and the Republicans.

"The Secret Service would be criminally irresponsible to allow Hillary as VP."

True; but they did give loyal service to Clinton's for eight long, painful years. . .

Bigger question, how is it that only Dick Morris and Emmet Tyrrell,Jr. are the only ones who speak of the 'inner workings' of the Demrats - even O'Reilly seems surprised by some of Morris's comments.

That is not surprising in itself, mind you; but if O'Reilly cannot get it; then the rest of middle America will never 'get it' as well.

The 'Clintonesque' is treated like some kind of DaVinci Code. . .we need more people to step up to the national microphone and tell America just what kind of clothes these people really wear. . .

And Moseley-Braun.

Well .. I'm basing my argument upon something Susan Estrich said several months ago, and so far she has been pretty on target about the dems actions.

Susan said that if Hillary ever announced she was running, there would be such a surge of conservatives to hit the streets to defeat Hillary, it would make everybody's heads swim. And .. she's repeated that statement several times. Then she says she likes Hillary, but Susan has said many times that Hillary will NEVER be president.

I believe her .. while I'm aware that she was the campaign manager for Dukakis(?), who was a very big loser. However, Susan has gone on record as saying that the Clintons were sucking up all the oxygen from the dem party and that the Clintons just needed to go away and remain quiet. When she wrote that column, the mainstream media spiked the story, and Rush Limbaugh was the only person who would run it, and it was here on FR.

Good point. The chances of her getting elected are so small that it's not very realistic, I just wouldn't want people to get too complacent about it. She is still a formidable politician and all the liberals in the country would love to see her win. Most of the 43% that originally supported slick willie would vote for her, so she has a large base to start with. Of course, she would never win the white male vote or the bubba vote, but if she carried New York, California, Florida, and a couple of other large states she is a long way toward the finish line.

Well .. I agree that we cannot be complacent about her chances of getting into the WH. After reading Bill Sammon's book, "At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried to Steal the Election", you can bet your sweet bippy Hillary is willing to do whatever it takes, and she has surrounded herself with people WHO ARE ALSO WILLING TO TO WHATEVER .. AND THEY HAVE EVEN LIED FOR HER, AND GONE TO JAIL FOR HER.

But .. that's doesn't mean she cannot be stopped!!

As for NY CA and FL, I'm not so sure CA and FL would be a positive for her .. at least not this year. Bush is already polling at 52% here in CA .. and since Jeb just won a huge victory in his re-election, I just don't see that as a dem stronghold anymore.
