Glad you're not holding your breath because it's the big-name democrats who are the worst cowards.

I'm not so sure the Clintons are going to pick each of the dems off .. I think what they're doing is just allowing each one to get a lead .. and then they're knocking them back a little. This would make it appear like there are just too many to choose from - TA DA - magically the savior appears in the form of Hillary.

I think this meeting tomorrow is to line up people to support her nomination at the convention, because clearly there is nobody else in the dem party who can win against Bush.

Quite frankly, I hope she runs and gets it over with. We can beat the living pulp out of her in one election and be done with it.

I just don't see anything in all this fuss. The Clintons know that none of the Dem candidates can overtake Bush in November. That's exactly as they want it. My guess is that they'll throw their weight behind the front-running Kerry pretty soon. He is the D party's Dole. They know it....and all is just as exactly as they want it going into '08.

I've always thought that Weasely Clark was a decoy, the obvious Toon front man. I'm sure the Toons have their hooks into Kerry, too. Which means that the only way a Dem who still cares about his/her party can see the Toons stopped is by voting for Bush. 43 will never give Hillie a veep slot.

"Two, after all, were coaxed into the race by the Clintons, Sen. John Edwards and Gen. Wesley Clark"

It's interesting how shallow and superficial the Clinton's picks appear. You'd think they would pick someone with real substance and integrity.

This is why some of us got behind Dean from the start....rooting for crazy nut to wrest control from the clinton hold on the DNC. Seems a pipe dream, but there ya go.

Two, after all, were coaxed into the race by the Clintons, Sen. John Edwards and Gen. Wesley Clark.

As you've been saying...Edwards is backed by the Clintons.

Clark was for good measure, and in my opinion, able to give voice to the more outrageous Republican/Bush bashing that would ruin Edwards, yet satisfy Clinton's need to vent.

Hillary wants to be President, not Vice President.
The evil witch will love to be seen as making a "sacrifice for her party and country".....

"One interesting catfight to contemplate: Madame Hitlery vs. Madame Teresa Heinz Kerry. Eye scratching behind the scenes is surely to ensue."

Guns, knives, fists, anything that can be thrown or wielded like a club. Everything will be on the table when those two get going.

My money is on the wicked witch of the west wing.

Regards,

You are correct. Those who say she'll never take the number two slot, yada yada yada, are not considering strategy and the big picture.

How could they tell?

Will frontrunner Mr. Kerry be the next victim of the Clintons' political research teams?

Absolutely. Because of Theresa Heinz's money. The Clintons will not tolerate a candidate who doesn't need their largesse, who they cannot control.

Hillary's appeal is in some ways broader than his.
Her appeal is not the only thing broader than his.

LOL - I highlighted the same phrase, with the same comment in mind!
