Holy smokes! This says to me that the French government is on the verge of panic. The only question that immediately popped into my mind was: Are they restricting the subsidies to ethnic French families, or are the Muslims getting it too? That is a very valid question. I don't know about The French Constitution, but if someone tried to exclude any ethnic group from a program in our country, they'd ram the 14th Amendment up their 4th point of contact with a plunger.
