The Presidents job isn't to pander to the elctorate, but to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States". Well, well. Finally an astute post. So since 70% of the electorate is against the immigration proposal Bush should stand his ground?

I must have hit home.My ,thou doth protest too much. I almost feel sorry for you. Almost. Look ,why don't you and the dead enders go on over to Liberty Post and save the world over there. You'll be relatively more happy, a term I think does not apply to you, but, it'll be a start. Maybe you can all get a good PAt Rant going there and pick up a book or or two from his presidential library.
By the way, did Mulder ever nail Scully? I never had the time to waste with paranoid fiction.

No,he isn't, but you're irrational enough and gullible enough and blinkered enough, to not see that.

Super Bowl picks Thread Forgive the interruption. It needs the advertising, as it's hidden in General Interest (Chat). Besides, surely everyone can use a break from arguing over whether Bush is conservative enough, worth voting for, etc., etc.

Uh sorry n00b, but hildy has been here for 6 years, you for not even 6 days.
Feel free to just walk in and piss on the carpet though.

You make that brash statement, why don't you back it up with some factual examples for us.
IN order to display any form of credibility, on our behalf, we require that actual lists of factual documentation accompany the accusation. Simply hearing someone else say it, or reading between the lines as well as your ears and jumping to conclusions does not qualify as factual, debatable material for this form.
The challenge for you is, providing us with documentation that supports your claim. Most of us already know the outcome.....there aren't any.
In fact, this recent diatribe that started this thread is solely based on innuendo and projective supposition. Let's do something unusual and simply wait and see if this story is actually true in the first place before we go off into another Demonic Rage!

Take some viagra, it'll set you free.
I bet he could get the NEA to pay for that, as part of an art exhibit.
Maybe so, as the two of you probably can't afford it on your combined incomes.
Enjoy yourselves , boys. Maybe the two of you can get your own rant gang at LP happenin'

So since 70% of the electorate is against the immigration proposal Bush should stand his ground? No, because his immigration proposal is unconstitutional.

How much influence should 20% of the electorate hold over a President elected by 50% of the electorate.~ 40%

You're one and you don't know what it means ?
Fringers are those who vote for and/or advocate voting for fringe parties...hopeless, hapless, and useless.
To: The Old Hoosier
. He's arrogant, and he's telling you, me and every other conservative in the country to go pound sand. It's not the money, it's not even the policy principle about funding of the arts. You don't become president being a shrinking violet. That same "arrogance" is what made him tell the UN to pound sand on Kyoto. It is the same "arrogance" that got 3 tax cuts through when he han NO mandate, It was that same "arrogance" that told the EU International Criminal Court to kiss off, It was that same "arrogance" that has resulted in Saddam Hussein sitting in an military brig awaiting trial, It was the same "arrogance" that got the first truly anti-abortion bill passed and signed since Roe v. Wade. Yes he is an arrogant SOB, the liberals would agree with you 100%
To: PSYCHO-FREEP
What and spoil their fun ? LOL
To: jgrubbs
because his immigration proposal is unconstitutional IS that a fact? Exactly what is "unconstitutional" about it?
To: Mulder
Of course. Bush is a big-gov't statist, which is why so many real Republicans are upset. Good grief....first we have the 'true conservative' and now we have 'real Republicans'???
Just what makes one a 'real republican' or a 'true conservative'?
