Good post WOSG! It is too bad that some people are to pig headed that they won't vote for a candidate unless he takes their position 100% of the time. If they want that candidate, they should run themselves.
To: B4Ranch
Maybe, at breakfast tomorrow you should tell him that. Please do.What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Don't worry--we're gerrymandered in in the House, set to gain perhaps five to seven seats, and then we'll gain one or two seats in the Senate, even when Bush loses.

I know... I am so depressed... gridlock sounds better than what we got now on the domestic side... small government conservativism?? how do we get there from here??

Yeah but that is wildly ineffective ... if we want Conservative Presidents ... WE HAVE TO NOMINATE CONSERVATIVES IN THE PRIMARIES!
It really is that simple.
Let's find Conservative Presidential candidates and shut out the RINO pretenders in 2008.
As for 2004 ... fight for CONSERVATIVE CANDITATES IN CONGRESS. If we have a CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY in Congress,we can do great things!

I blame all of them....meaning all of the politicians? Where do you think the electorate stands on the funding for this stuff?
To: babbabooeyToYall
Maybe with a Democrat in the White House, the GOP will remember that it's supposed to be a conservative party. I'm pining for '94.
A newbie at FR pining for a return of Clinton to the White House...

The heck you're not. Try robbing a bank. Irrelevant comparison. If I rob a bank, I put myself into the position of becoming a subject/ward of the state/inmate/whatever. The choice would be mine to make.

Administration officials, including White House budget experts, said that Mr. Bush would propose an increase of $15 million to $20 million for the coming fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1. That would be the largest rise in two decades and far more than the most recent increases, about $500,000 for 2003 and $5 million for this year.

WE HAVE TO NOMINATE CONSERVATIVES IN THE PRIMARIES!I voted for Alan Keyes in the primaries over Bush, but the RNC made sure that they used as much money as it took to be sure that Bush got the nomination. The RNC wants Bush to win in 2004, they would laugh at the idea of anyone else conservative or not even trying to get the nomination for 2004.
