Bush sits around thinking up ways to insult people... Don't be silly. That's Rove's job.
Remember, Bush is very big on delegating reponsibility.

You guys have got to be kidding. Couldn't exist without the government?
How about they get together for their love of playing, others could organize administration to provide funding from voluntary donations instead of from a forced mugging at government gunpoint.

But the Goverment can be shrunk by a lot - we just need more GOP senators
We need conservative GOP senators, there are too many RINOs (Specter, McCain, yada yada yada). On domestic issues, Bush acts like one far too often these days.

"gridlock sounds better than what we got now on the domestic side.."
See, I cant agree with that. If we had 'gridlock' we wouldnt have had the partial birth abortion ban passed, nor the tax cuts, and homeland security would have been an AFSCME boondoggle as the Democrats wanted.
I think people are confusing Bush's pandering with the Republican party positions, and so ...
how do we get there from here??" ... I think the solution as I said before is: Vote in a Conservative Congress.
If Bush doesnt listen to us, DeLay and others will (if they have the votes).

"Did you know that under Clinton we had a balanced budget? "
ONly because of a stock market bubble that was an economic mirage.
Did you know that after Bush's May 2003 tax cuts, we had the highest growth IN 20 YEARS? That is, higher than at any time during the Clinton years?

NO Democrat would have gotten such an initiative through congress."
Uh wrong ... There was BIPARTISAN MAJORITY SUPPORT FOR SOMETHING EVEN WORSE! (Democrats+ a few RINOs) ... but the House leadership had bottled it up, and the Democrats would rather have that as a campaign issue than compromise, so they didnt push it fully in 1999. After 2000, Bush as President held the high cards.
The Democrats wanted a version that would cost 2X.
Had Gore been elected, they would have:
(a) NOT PASSED TAX CUTS
(b) PASSED A MORE EXPENSIVE MEDICARE EXPANSION

The point is not just one thing here. Each time we overlook one thing - another thing is added on...and so it goes!

Why dont people get a write in campaign to let Bush know that his base is not thrilled with his policies. Like it or not, he is much better than the alternatives but we have to send this up to not only POTUS but congress also. If our base doesnt make noise and just keep arguing about this, nothing is going to get done and Kerry or someone as awful as him is going to waltz in and then we will be left in the wilderness. As long as they know they own your vote, you can cry foul 'till the cows come home, and nothing's gonna change, except for the worst.
It's not a matter of letting them know that they're alienating their base. They know they're alienating the base. They just don't care, because they assume that they own our votes.
See my tagline for the bushbot take on the situation. I rather suspect the sentiment in the Rove Room is identical to Tex's smirky assertion.

ONTH, not exactly a hot campaign issue, but definitely on the minds of the posters, considering that the responses are up to 1,070.

Yes, I do think he's stupid. This confirms it. He's figured out how to lose an un-losable election. The acorn didn't fall far from the tree, did it. Like father, like son.
Read my lips: no more RINOs.
My vote, my rules. No, I won't waste my vote. I'm saving it.
I own my vote. It's my vote. If someone earns it, then I'll give -- give -- him my vote.
But NO one takes my vote. And they'd be utter fools to take it for granted.

The remaining few will vote for him regardless. Unless they get a "butterfly ballot".
Remember how we laughed at those idiots in Florida who complained that someone moved the dot? "It's not fair! I always vote the second dot! All I know, go to the booth, put the card in the machine, count down to the second dot, push the dot. Now they did this to us, and we didn't know how to vote!" (Rough parapharase of actual whine.)
Well, looks like we've got some of those same rocket scientists on our side too. Don't think, just vote "R". Leave the thinking to the professionals. That's why Karl Rove is paid the big bucks. You do your part -- vote "R", and STFU. Oh, and donate, too.

It is too bad that some people are to pig headed that they won't vote for a candidate unless he takes their position 100% of the time. BS.
The proof that it's BS is that I voted for Papa Doc Bush, I voted for Dole, and I voted for Baby Doc Bush.
Now you tell me how many of those took my (standard conservative) position 100% of the time. Or even TEN percent of the time.
I voted "lesser of two evils". This time I lost the bet. Oh, well. Fool me once, shame on me, eh?

It's called "triangulation". Worked like a charm for Clinton. I'd hoped for better from President Bush.
Ditto that.

Partial birth abortion passed? BFD. Get back with me when it's implemented. I won't hold my breath. PBA was a bone tossed at "the base", with no expection of it actually coming to pass.
Homeland Security? Oh, please, gimme a break. It's a joke of a boondoggle. Grannie has her shoes sniffed at the airport, while that cro magnon Ridge lays the groundwork for Bush's amnesty -- and, the borders remain wide open?

Do these "aides", "administration officials" and "White House budget experts" have a name or are they unnamed sources? Does it matter? Or are you whistling past the graveyard?
Face it -- the fix is in. The sources are unnamed, big whoop. That's how it's done. They're always unnamed -- but they're not unknown to the press.
This ain't some night shift janitor whispering it to the reporter. If you're pinning your hopes on this all turning out to be a groundless rumor, well, I hope you're sitting down when you get the "real" news.
