Will GOP Chairman Rebuke Conservative's Vile Hate Speech?

Washington, DC — Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe today said he would be personally monitoring the Republican National Committee’s website anxiously waiting for Chairman Ed Gillespie to repudiate comments made by a right wing columnist comparing Senate Democrats to Nazis. Gillespie recently took to the airwaves to express outrage over an ad posted at the Moveon.org web site that used images of Adolph Hitler.

Despite giving the ad more play on the RNC web site than it had in its entire existence on MoveOn's site, Gillespie called it: "the worst and most vile form of political hate speech."

National Review writer Timothy Carney in a column on Friday, compared Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee to Nazis and Senator Orrin Hatch to Neville Chamberlain. It will be interesting to note whether Gillespie will be hit with another fit of outrage over political "hate speech." The Nazi charge stems from a decision by Hatch and the Republican leadership to allow the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms to investigate Republican theft of Democratic documents for more than a year.

"Ed, this kind of hateful and vile rhetoric has no place in politics. Now is the time to tell the American people if your sense of right and wrong is subject to partisanship," said Terry McAuliffe. "Democratic members of the Judiciary Committee have already been the victims of theft for over a year. They should not be subject to this sort of despicable Republican attack. Either Ed Gillespie and the Republicans will rebuke this sort of language or it will be crystal clear that the 'worst and most vile form of political hate speech' makes its home at the RNC." -end-

The line in the article of which Terry speaks, yet does not cite:

In Washington, dozens of conservatives literally make it their full-time jobs to fight for these nominees. How to they drag themselves to work each day when the pilot of the process looks like Neville Chamberlain?

Let's see:

NAZI is short for National Socialists

and

Democrat (or progressives) is short for American Socialists

Oh man, that is really really weak. He compared Hatch to Neville Chamberlain in terms of appeasing the opposition. He made no such claim about the Democrats and Hitler.

McAuliffe must be really desperate these days. Heck, I'm diametrically opposed to him politically but I could come up with better material than that.

I'm still waiting for the apology from Ted Kennedy to Janice Rogers Brown for calling her a "neanderthal". If Trent Lott had said that about a black judicial nominee....

Obviously, they aren't aware of who old Neville was. Comparing someone to him means you think they are craven, weak kneed, and lacking in a realist understanding of the world.

It does not mean that whoever he is nominally caving in to are NAZIs. OTOH, comparing someone to Hitler is....comparing someone to Hitler.

I would imagine even the Dem's pliant press will have trouble running with this one.

This, from the same people who brought us the "Hitler/Bush" Morph TV Commercials? Hey, McAuliffe -- you only have a few months to go until you become unemployed. Put a sock in it. Maybe you can re-train making McDonalds' burgers.

Lame is right. I can't find the word NAZI anywhere in the referenced line.

However, it's OK for all of Terry's little demoncRATS to compare Ashcroft to the likes of Himmler and for fat Ted (D-Cutty Sark) to accuse Bush of acts of treason! That's OK huh, Terry? You.......

That's the other thing that gets me.....this is an article by a conservative that's critical of a Republican! Terry has basically highlighted an article in a conservative publication that's actually being critical of one of it's own! In Terry's universe, they're all in cahoots with each other!

This is the best Terry McAwful can do? I'm surprised he didn't ask Billary first before coming up with such errant nonsense about the NRO article. He's too much fun to get rid of. He's the poster boy for everything that's wrong with the Democrats today.

Didn't a RAT memo call President Bush's judicial nominees Nazis??????????????? And the memo is a part of the investigation of Hatch's aide??????

Terry better watch out who he picks on. The RATS on the judiciary are the evil plotters here.

repudiate comments made by a right wing columnist comparing Senate Democrats to Nazis...

Hum....Lets see

  1. Both parties are socialist
  2. Both believe in Govt lead social engineering
  3. Both approve of Facistic methods of tax and regulation in order to control the means of production
  4. Both parties are fixated on race and ethnicity
  5. Both parties hate orthodox Christianity
  6. Both parties have overseen and provided political support and govt funding for the slaughter of millions of innocent victims

Jeez, Terry's right, no similarity here....

"A portion of one Democratic memo in 2001 said: "There's a reason why we do what we do - most of Bush's nominees are nazis. Controversial ones demand more careful scrutiny." (Some memos involved are posted at www.fairjudiciary.com) "

This excerpt is from the "Breaking News" thread about the Senate Judiciary Committee staffer who says that he didn't leak any memos.

The word Hitler or Nazi doesn't even appear once in this article. I know many people who are mentioned with Chamberlain because of their appeassement policies. This is really pathetic.
