Florida AG's Gleason says Palm Beach State Attorney misrepresented what she said.
Assistant AG Pat Gleason's letter says SAO's memo to the media omitted "critical parts of our discussion."
"This is disappointing to me personally and professionally," Gleason says.

It is inconcievable to me that a letter written as an inquirey to the possibility of a plea bargain could be considered a public document that must be released to the public. Or that this law trumps the FL constitution's privicy statutes.

The lefy wing political machine in Palm Beach is one of the most Blatant ban of communists at work in the U.S. today.
Once the Kennedy Mansion was built on A1A, the influence peddling of the far left reached maximum infiltration.
Now the entire political machine is more corrupt and more anti-Republican than ever before.
Newsmax is based here and we need to support them more than ever. Landmark Legal is doing a great job, we need to support them as well.

The last paragraph of the letter is the best:
Both your file memorandum and e-mail emphasize that you did not tell me who the defendant was in this situation. However, that should not and cannot matter. Over the years, I have had many conversations with assistant state attorneys about pressing public records issues. These conversations have been candid and in my view, have helped the state to resolve public records issues and focus on the upcoming trial. In this case, however, it seems to me that the purpose in contacting me about this issue may not have been to obtain impartial advice on an open government issue, but rather to use a part of our conversation to justify your offices decision that the documents should be released. This is disappointing to me personally and professionally.

That's the clincher. Bet someone in the SA office gets fired or maybe even put in jail.

It's absolutely astounding how blatant this vile hit job is. Normally the hitters will at least have some legal cover for what they say and do. Here, they don't, and they knew there was a clear public record about which they were blatantly lying before they told the lies. It's a dumb criminal situation almost as funny as a bank robber going in, taking her mask off, waving to the video cameras while pointing her gun at the teller, and then leaving a DNA sample.

So Landmark is requesting an investigation. Will Jeb ask someone to initiate an investigation? He doesn't have to say anything just ask someone below him to start an investigation. What happened to the ACLU? Was it just lip service?

It saddens me that people who claim to be conservative not just overlook his behavior but actually make excuses for it.
Maybe its because many of the older conservative's are on pain killers themselves, they are addicted but thats better than the pain. Then there are people like me who thinks the WOD is a farce and in this case the libetarians are right. Better to make them legal than the crap going on now.

And, surely, the great RUSHBO knew that buying 2000 pills from a house keeper was illegal.
In light of the recent news, how can you believe anything about this maid? It is so obvious what the Palm Beach SA is trying to do. Obviously the maid's story is also propaganda.

Is this thread ZOTed?

Yes, it sounds like a bar complaint might be in order. In addition, since they say correspondence concerning plea negotiations are now covered by the open records laws, perhaps a FOIA request should be made for all correspondece concerning other defendants.

I would not encourage my children to model themselves after a junkie. The fact that he is a conservative doe not exempt him from following the law. And, surely, the great RUSHBO knew that buying 2000 pills from a house keeper was illegal. 1) I hope that your children never need spinal surgery - they might develop an addiction to painkillers as well. Or do you believe that Rush should have had the fortitude to avoid the addiction? Or do you believe that Rush should have sought rehab before this became public?
2) Perhaps you could explain to your children how this addiction has had a negative effect on Mr. Limbaugh's image.
3) I hope that you don't allow your children to consider the National Enquirer as a reliable news source - because that is the only source that states that Rush purchased his medication from an illegal supplier.
4) I agree that Rush is not exempt from the law - on the other hand can you think of a reason why he should receive an unusually harsh treatment from the law? Because everyone in Florida that has been caught with an addiction to prescription drugs (first offense) is sent to rehab, not jail.
