I don't think dragons would have umbilical cords but hey, what do I know about mythical creatures.

Hey, embryonic chicks have umbilical cords; no reason a fetal dragon shouldn't.

True, but the mystery is how the dragon has both wings and forearms. Not of the animal kingdom.

Good point. When I read just the text of the story (in a Delphi forum) I thought it could be some fetal version of something ordinary, or with wings attached to same. Appears fake fake fake. Particularly the eyes.
