Kay statement...Oh, he does not have a written statement. Will make a few comments and then will answer questions.

Praises the staff of his team over there.
Great deal accomplished. Says it must go on. Also believes it is time to begin fundamental analysis of "how we got here" to have the best intelligence.

We were almost all wrong. Senator Kennedy knows, we talked much before the war and he knows we thought Iraq had WMDS.

Kay recalls Chirac saying Iraq had them WMDS.

Turns out we were all wrong....probably, in my judgement.

Misinformation goes the other way...Iran had a nuclear program that was more extensive and we found out not through our own intelligence. Same with Libya having programs beyond what we knew.

They found hundreds of things that should have been reported and they hid material.
