Have any idea where the 101st 2nd Battalion is? I'm guessing (hoping actually) they're in the air today. Haven't heard from my son in almost a week. Last thing they were doing was packing.

Your son's coming home, hoo ah!
I have only read the DoD releases...no problems reported with the troops in transit, or getting equipment washed in Kuwait and aboard ship, on the way home.
I would pester these guys for an answer:

Thanks. I've been haunting the Ft Campbell site. My son is a ground pounder (2-502) and only gets an occasional 'sight seeing QRF helicopter tour' of beautiful downtown Mosul. I suspect the aviation group may go thourgh Kuwait with their equipment. My son said his group was going straight home from Mosul. I've heard of some troops coming through Turkey.
