If Hubert Humphrey -- the Liberal's Liberal -- was running today, the GOP would reject him for being "TOO conservative -- TOO radical-right-wing."

Yeah right, Humphrey would really propose to privatize Social Security or propose Medical savings accounts.

Uh, Don, todays demo party is not Humphrey's demo party. They have been taken over by the leftists such as Kerry.

How about living in 2004 and not 1960.

Wow, not only did my point go right over your head, but then you had to jump up and yell "Bullseye!"

You're right, of course. Today's demo party isn't Humphrey's demo party. The bigger problem is that today's GOP party ain't even Humphrey's demo party. It has moved that far to the left.

That was the point I was trying to convey, and I thank you for underscoring it.

The spectrum has moved so far to the left that today's "Republicans" are way to the left of yesteryear's "Liberals".
