When we were transferred to Texas, stopped at the Welcome Center and took all kinds of pictures -- I was so happy to be there.

We ended up settling in Kendall County Texas where when LBJ was running for Senate, his goons were going around taking ballot boxes to be counted (yeah right). Our Sheriff and his sons used shotguns at the Fairgrounds to guard the ballot boxes and make sure that LBJ's goons didn't get their hands on them. Funny thing, Kendall County voted against LBJ who came from a County North of them. That same Sheriff was still Sheriff until he retired in the mid 90's. That was one of the first stories I was told about the history of Kendall County.
