Opened a bank account lately? bought a gun lately? Ever wonder what all those things that look like cameras sprouting up on the intersections are? Noticed that you have different requirements to exercise your 'right' to vote now? the kind of requirements that are database based? Applied for a job and not known that you are now turned into a government database to check up on you and your current status? (that ones been around for quite a while, but people still think you're a kook or conspiricist if you mention it). And on and on and on.
And, of course, these are all vitally nescessary for our protection, security, and well being.
