Thanks! Think I have met at least half of them! I began to notice several months ago that the number of anti-Bush people for new posters defied probability. There was no way there could be that many compared to the pro-side.

I became firmly convinced after spending the evening of the Iowa caucus pulling out comments for someone from the Dean Blog. It hit me that a lot of what I was reading were the same comments word for word on here.

Some of us who were in flame wars back in the 2000 primaries don't have a problem of defending the President. I do have a problem with new posters that haven't been on FR very long and their continual attacks and lies that need to refuted especially the attacks on the integrity and the character of President Bush.

Remember when you came on FR -- would you have started flaming immediately or would you have laid back to see the lay of the land?

I take your point. But actually, yes, I did pretty much start flaming away, just like everyone else.

That was six months before the first primary. Buchanan, Keyes, Forbes, Bush, they all had pretty rabid contingents here. Of course, nothing was happening officially so we mostly ate each others alive, I think.

A lot of the bitching going on here doesn't mean as much now as it would in the fall when we actually have to cast a ballot. Some people, like me, live in a state so Red we don't have to worry over the electoral college.
