ARTICLE SNIPPET: "DENVER Thirteen fire fighters were injured, mostly from smoke inhalation, while fighting a fire in a Denver apartment building Sunday morning. The apartment complex is owned by the same company that manages the Spanish Gate apartments, which burned to the ground on Dec. 28.
All sixth stories of the apartment building at 848 S. Dexter Street were evacuated Sunday morning. It is one of two buildings known as Cherry Creek Place.
There are approximately 50 units in the building. Some suffered heavy smoke damage. The apartments are just 200 yards away from where the Spanish Gate apartments once stood.
Authorities say the fire was caused when two men set off a stun grenade in Apartment 403. It happened a little before 10 a.m.
Through further investigation we have determined this was in fact a military smoke grenade that was detonated, said Det. John White, with Denver police. Spokesman. White said it is against the law to keep explosive devices at a residence."
Thanks for all the links you provide, Cindy! Busy bookmarking and copying here. :-)
Like everyone else here, I hope nothing happens tonight or the next couple of days and we can all breathe a sigh of relief. But if something does happen, the leading up to it is certainly well-documented on this "think tank" thread.
Back to where I was on the thread.....I'll never catch up with y'all! LOL!!
