If they arrested him in early December, then they must have gotten him to talk. I bet there are private small cell phone firms who work for Al Quaeda so that they can enjoy more private communications. Who knows, maybe they told him he would be deported away from his wife and kids unless he let them listen in, and he did, and they heard chatter. Hence the upgrade to orange.

well, not "private" per say, they are all monitored. but their ability to acquire the phones "anonymously", and frequently change them, is important. but if he had first hand knowledge of other players, why weren't there more arrests?

Can someone explain this? This is the first I had heard that sprinkler failure was responsible for 9/11. Would working sprinklers REALLY have been strong enough against those burning balls of fuel and metal??

And I'd like to hear more about those terrorist cousins. Were they apprehended?

Hmmm. I wonder who this Ohio guy is? Another Somali, a guy named Mohammed A. Warsame was arrested in December 2003. He's said to be a material witness in a terrorism investigation. Some reports say he had personal contact with bin Laden, attended training camps and so forth.

But the reports I saw did not refer to him residing in Ohio- they referred to him as Canadian and said he lived in Minnesota.
