The jihadis often refer to Saudi Arabia as the Arab Island or Arabian Island. The name of the country Saudi Arabia literally means Arabia of the Sauds and they do not want to acknowledge any sort of legitimacy of the House of Saud as the ruling family of the Kingdom. Hence, Arabian Island or Arab Island.

I mostly think Jim R is right about his leanings on such scores. And, he leans rather heavily, BTW.

1) There is NO other viable option at present that has even a remote chance of winning any significant political clout. That will not change before Jesus comes again.

2) Fantasies otherwise are . . . well . . . fantasies and probably pretty far out ones at that.

3) We are left with making good lemonade out of . . . wellllll . . . lemons or at best good oranges.

Nevertheless, prayer and no small amount of fasting has graced us with a Bush who SEEMS INTENT on following God's leading even when it crosses the puppet masters' wishes.

My suspicion is that Bush treads as thin a line sometimes as he dares to and still have any hope of staying alive.

I have begun to pray for Spirit-led folks to discern who in the Secret Service might be in the service of the puppet masters to destructive ends--and that they be removed from the service post haste. Certainly, I'm convinced we must pray for his and family's safety as well as Holy Spirit guidance and courage to follow it.

I even pray for angelic and Heavenly visitations that Bush and key decision makers be emphatically clear about God's orders in the affairs of state and the world.

The rest--we had best have our own relationship with God in order.

We KNOW the world government is coming. The Bible makes that clear. But I am still convinced that the horrors can be greatly moderated by prayer. Moderated will still be more horrific than ever before in the world.

Unmoderated is . . . unthinkable.

I think the peregrine can get close to 200 miles an hour when it dives down to grab prey. If they are planning what I think they are it will not matter about the breed of raptor as it is only a vector shedding the avian flu to the wildlife and us.

On a different note and FWIW... in the homelandsecurityus.net site there is some mention of a field commander in the land of the tributaries waiting for some tape or message...I think of Minnesota because of the Mississippi head waters there abouts and then more recently on that site there is a dialogue in which the yellow circle faces are used at the end and one part references somebody stuck in Iowa with a frowning face. This might be the reason for the new directive.

Looking at a pic of a "real" suitcase nuke in that last link, I ran across this doozy..

"Each suitcase bomb has the potential to kill roughly 100,000 people depending on location."

That # matches up EXACTLY with the number of people the terrorists are claiming they are going to take out with the next attack.

Of course, they could have easily read this info as well. But, it is an eerie coincidence.

I was just reading other headlines and found this neatly tucked away on the Drudge site, with no other media outlet reporting it except the original UPI author.

This brings out a question that is relevant to this thread, namely:


How much inter-cooperation is there between governments, political organizations, and terrorists? Is there a proxy war being waged on us by these groups?

The list of other organizations in the last paragraph points to a place we need to examine to really find the true threats, in my opinion.

Iraqi govt. papers: Saddam bribed Chirac



BAGHDAD, Iraq, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Documents from Saddam Hussein's oil ministry reveal he used oil to bribe top French officials into opposing the imminent U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

The oil ministry papers, described by the independent Baghdad newspaper al-Mada, are apparently authentic and will become the basis of an official investigation by the new Iraqi Governing Council, the Independent reported Wednesday.

"I think the list is true," Naseer Chaderji, a governing council member, said. "I will demand an investigation. These people must be prosecuted."

Such evidence would undermine the French position before the war when President Jacques Chirac sought to couch his opposition to the invasion on a moral high ground.

A senior Bush administration official said Washington was aware of the reports but refused further comment.

French diplomats have dismissed any suggestion their foreign policy was influenced by payments from Saddam, but some European diplomats have long suspected France's steadfast opposition to the war was less moral than monetary.

"Oil runs thicker than blood," is how one former ambassador put his suspicions about the French motives for opposing action against Saddam.

Al-Mada's list cites a total of 46 individuals, companies and organizations inside and outside Iraq as receiving Saddam's oil bribes, including officials in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Sudan, China, Austria and France, as well as the Russian Orthodox Church, the Russian Communist Party, India's Congress Party and the Palestine Liberation Organization
