[history]
An al-Qaida program to develop chemical and biological weapons was in the early "conceptual stages" when it was cut short by the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan, U.S. and Malaysian security officials told the Associated Press.
The information on the state of Osama bin Laden's weapons plan came from interrogations of terrorist suspects captured in Southeast Asia and from clues gathered in the Afghan battlefield, the authorities said.

Just think, if Gore, Dean, Kerry, Clark or any of the other Dems had been president, we would have waited until AQ fully developed their bio and chem capability and hit us with it, before taking effective action.

"It would be interesting to see if the chronicle edits out anything!"
Nah, they'll just figure out a way to give Hillary and Feinstein the credit for it!

Thanks -- another article, where they changed the title a bit, oh, well, the more people read it, the better.
Those who are criticizing Bush on Iraq apparently would also have been happier to wait until Saddam would have developed full WMD capabilities, and of course by that time it would have been too late for us to do anything, or would have had tremendous cost in human lives, our human lives.

Tom Daschle is saddened, deeply saddened.

Just a little old WMD program? That's nothing. We weren't in imminent danger of being attacked by a WMD program. Bush Lied! < /sarcasm >

(A vote for anyone but George W. Bush for president in 2004 is a vote to strengthen Al Qaeda.)

These people are going to succeed if we choose to allow them to continue without trying to disrput them.
The liberals are always on the anti-American and anti-civilization side. They want us to live in mud huts (no electricity) and live like the barbarians the terrorists are in their own native communities.
