Over the river and through the blizzard,
to FReeper homes we go.
The cars know the way and the trains don't stray,
even in the snow-ow!
How was your journey?
Hope you're not in a gurney!
But standing up okay!
Just post it here
if you're home this year,
to FReep another day!

Did everyone make it home OKIsn't that the same thing as asking "If your not present, speak up!"

You were the first one to get it. The song was the second clue. LOL!

It's been -10 average for a couple months, down to -45 and up to maybe zero. Not a lot of snow but more than last year. Nearly normal, actually. Sky has been clear last night for the Opportunity landing and tonight. Good aurora last night, swirling curtains and bright enough to reflect off the snow. People are driving around almost as crazy as in the summer.

We found out that Holiday Inn has a $39.95 "snow rate"! Interesting... we may have to take them up on that one of these years (as long as CPAC is held every January).

"Home safe and sound." Safe maybe, but I don't know about the 'sound' part. I'd say more but. . .

Good to have met both of you two - and Janet too, and glad that you are home safe, warm, and dry. See you next year. Let me know if the Canadian version of CPAC comes together.

Glad that your home in one piece. I had a car spin out of control in front of me last week. It's a bit unnerving to see a car coming right at you.
What time did you run into snow? We got back to the Pittsburgh
area around 2:30 and there was no snow yet.

I didn't get any snow. I got back here in Michigan about 9:30. I think I was near Pitt around 5:30.
I heard there was supposed to be 6-8 inches, but it missed me and missed here completely.

"And it's the fault of Bad Ray and his harem. They kept us completely distracted until it was too late too "bug out"." Sure, blame it all on me and my harem. Everything else is my fault. LOL
It's just a good thing that what happens at CPAC, stays at CPAC.
Be careful on the rest of the way home.

I heard the weather reports of snow and ice moving in from VA to SC, so I skedaddled south on 95 down to Jacksonville, FL. Got there about 2am. Slept five hours, and then took a balmy drive through 75 degree weather west through FL and the Gulf coast. Got into Texas about 7 tonight and am spending the night in Beaumont.

Flight was a little bumpy but we got home okay. I hear we are going to get seven inches of sunshine here in LA tomorrow...heheh.

Well, we're not expecting the crappy weather for another day or two, so I didn't have any problems getting back home! ;)
