This is a good way to embarass sleazy people.
Maybe picture taking at the local park restrooms will out the local politicos "trawling" at night?
If you do not like people trying to maintain decency in your neighborhood - MOVE OUT!
That is called "Community Standards". When did that become a "bad thing" ??

Picket the store then. I have no problem with that. I just find undercover surveillance, internet searches, and postcards mailed to the homes kinda crappy. No, I wouldn't have a card sent to my home. Picketing would actually stop more customers than this anyways. People would not go into the store with picketers about.
I just think the police state should be left to the police is all. If ya want to protest, do it. Spying is not a good idea.

Maybe the pastor would be happy if these folks just discretely visited a hooker or something?
Next thing this pastor will be railing against masturbation. You can't win with some "religious" leaders.

I think you liketh John Ashcroft too much...
This tactic is clearly intrusive and violates your right to privacy.
If you want community standards, then go to your local City Council and work for driving these establishments out of your town through ordinance, not by anointing yourself a moral crusader and piss off a lot of people in the process.

This is a good way to embarass sleazy people. I beleive the pastor should be more concerned about the "sleazy" people in his congregation.

Doing a search to find the address of a private citizen, accessing their DMV records to send a postcard .. to me .. seems an invasion of privacy.
This pastor is opening himself up to a lawsuit. There are any number of scenarios where he could cause irreparable harm to a family through his intrusions where the 'guilty' party has not even been in his neighborhood. Good intentions do not mean that the actions are pure.

It became a bad thing when no-life busy-bodies decided they write the law when it comes to what other people can or can't do in their community.
These kind of small minded snoops who think their mission in life is spy in their neighbors and expose their every sin, are what drives people away from the church.
Remind me of the Pharisees who reprimanded Jesus for daring to spend time with and eat with prostitutes and other sinners.

"That is called "Community Standards". When did that become a "bad thing" ??" Photographing people's cars in adult stores isn't 'community standards', it's called being a busy body. If the local community decided that this business owner could operate his business in this area, who are you--or this misguided pastor--to embaress it's patrons?
It's always a 'bad thing' when individual liberty and freedom is intimadated by a small, narrow-minded minority bent on imposing thier views on the majority.
Who cares if these legal adults are purchasing a perfectly legal item in a properly zoned area?

This is not a good way to encourage people to behave. It is, however, a great way to harden the hearts of people toward the Gospel and saving Grace of Jesus Christ.
Think about it, would you believe that a group had your best interest in mind if their first contact with you was to embarrass you in front of your family and the local postal workers?
