But Rona Ramon took them to the Israeli police department, which used optical scanners and, with the help of museum experts who decipher ancient manuscripts, they were able to reconstruct the pages. She just flitted right over there from Houston, huh?
Is she employed? Who paid for this?

What's your point?

That's quite a cynical comment to make about a truly amazing and heartwarming story. Would you please explain? Thank you.
To: U S Army EOD
What's your point? That having a loved one die tragically does not entitle anyone to a free ride.
To: Alouette
Thank you for posting this, Alouette. It is truly miraculous this was found, imho. I believe God allowed the diary to be found to bring a special peace to Ilan Ramon's widow and children. May God be with them.

To: humblegunner
Where in the article does it say anything about a free ride? Or do you have something against Ilan Ramon's widow in general?
To: humblegunner
Don't worry about the bill for her ticket. I am sure you're not paying for it.

I would suspect that she paid for her own flight and was not paid for by your tax money. The Police probably did it as a favor. You do understand favors when it just might be the right thing to do considering the circumstances.

This is a miracle. He must have written something very important in it.

If, as I suspect, the Columbia was allowed to fly when it did because of some military mission having to do with the impending war in Iraq, I wonder if this diary has anything to say about that.

There's a sourpuss in every crowd. Next he'll be complaining about how she didnt wait long enough to date again and how the flouridated water is ruining his vital bodily fluids.

Someone took a look in the mirror and realized the depth of their pathetic life and decided to trash someone's else's grand achievements.
