How much do you want to bet that he paid attention to who bought ribs and who didn't.

Let me explain how the economy works. When you spend money to buy food it helps this lady's business. It makes it more likely somebody is going to find work. So instead of asking questions, answer mine: are you going to buy some food?

This is GREAT! The press are so obtuse, they NEED to be knocked upside the head from time to time. LOL.

"THE PRESIDENT: See, his job is to ask questions, he thinks my job is to answer every question he asks. "

===

That about sums up most newspeople.

Something I have always wondered. Does the President actually carry a wallet with money in it?

I sort of figured he would, even if he really didn't need to. A man feels sort of "undressed" without that lump in his back pocket.

Hey, does the President have an ID card? If so, who would he show it to? Who would ask to see it?

Silly questions, maybe, but I kinda like the idea of him fishing in his back pocket for a couple of $20s to pay this lady personally.

Years ago, I was donating blood at the local blood bank in the midst of one of their periodic "panic blood drives".

The day before, the local news station reported from the blood bank, with the reporterette gushing about their "urgent need" for blood. The news segment ended with the reporterette reclining on the couch, preparing for her donation.

I asked the staff whether any of the news crew had actually donated any blood that day. The answer was 'NO'.

Bush's encounter only reinforces my opinion that the media's job is not to DO the right thing, its real job is to tell us what to do. They only DO what's in their own self-interest, since they operate under different rules...

Speaks well of our President that he knows the importance of 'Que. However, he missed a golden opportunity by not saying, "See, it's like I always say, you liberals in the media only want to spend other people's money. Well, just for this once, why don't you spend some of your own money to help this lady's business here?"

Who remembers the story of Agore opening a restaurant?

http://www.newsmax.com/showinside.shtml?a=2001/12/1/103224

Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 11:30 a.m. EST

'Al and Tipper's Country Diner' Not to Be

It looks like Tennesseans won't be enjoying the culinary delights of "Al and Tipper's Country Diner" anytime soon.

In fact, a Gore spokesman now claims that a Reuters report that the former VP announced he was opening his own "low-cost" greasy spoon was 100 percent wrong.

"The story was based on an erroneous hearing of Gore's remarks," Reuters said late Friday. "According to a transcript provided by a representative for Gore, the former vice president said, '... we stopped at a little family restaurant in Tennessee. We were eating there by ourselves. It was a low-cost restaurant called Shoney's.'"

Late Thursday the wire service reported that Gore had told an audience in Lagos, Nigeria, "We have started a family restaurant in Tennessee and we are running it ourselves. It is a low-cost restaurant."

Instead of waiting tables and slinging hash, the former Democratic Party presidential candidate will divide his time between a new job with a West Coast investment firm and lecturing at two Tennessee colleges.
