American troops are there, along with NATO contingents, trying to keep it all from exploding into another war. Most Albanians are Moslems, and in the middle of all this, there is Bosnia, populated by many foreign Moslems who support al Qaeda.

If we had the resolve to kill enough radical Islamists, 90% of world conflicts would quickly end. IMO, radical Islam should be reviled world wide. Their army should be killed to a man, until they stand down. There is no sense in negoting with them. One might well negotiate with a rabid dog.

The author seems to have missed the defacto alliance between Israel and Iran during the Iran-Iraq war. (The US mostly supported Iraq; Israel supported Iran.)

Yes but Israel wasnt a nation until forty or fifty years ago so those things become relevant now or are you just from the darkside?

It's in the article claiming that Iran has been at war with Israel since 1979. It makes the article seem less well researched.

What about the more expensive wars? The War On Poverty; The War On Drugs; The War On Cancer, etc.

Iran and Israel are not allies. It is the nature of these Middle Eastern states to have alliances with nations that are also their bitter enemies. Your point is understandable but flawed.

I don;t know about 90% - I tend to think a lot of strife is territorial, on balance.

That being said, radical Islam and it's inability to coexist with its neighbors, is clearly over represented in this list.

At present, 20 of the world's 22 conflicts are between Islamists and "others". That's about 90%.

Works for me, I never bothered counting them, or limited them to 22 in any way. Certainly by any stretch, they are over represented. Thanks for the 411!
