His budget proposal is meaningless. The one Congress passes is the one that matters, because the President will sign it and it will become the budget.
I didn't say anything about a national debt ratio because I don't think that is the most immediate problem

They don't care about reality. In reality the average school district budget gains 6% from the ED. For that 6% they must, at least under GW, prove they are actually teaching the kids and that the teachers can actually pass the tests they give. That is a whole lot of bang for the buck if you ask me.

GeronL will be wanting the Kevlar Vests back from our Soldiers next.

Hold that thought!
The entire Space Program has yielded countless benefits to our technological advancement.
Perhaps the largest contribution will be Hydrogen Fuel Technology. From what we learned, we may soon be free of the need for Arab OIL!
Naw that's just sour grapes! we need to spent that money on razor wire fences and bigger bunkers!
OOPS! I forgot! When we fence people out, we actually wind up fencing ourselves in?

Scarily ... eee eee eee ... ee eee ... I'm a southpaw.

Just as I thought, you won't because you can't.
To: Texasforever
I read the Bill and I said back when it was signed, that it would never be fully funded because the schools would be forced to actually do something in exchange for the money. A concept that will take some time for them to get used to.

Between now and next November?? LOL....you know! I don't know. The level of silliness I have seen around here for the last 2 weeks dwarfs anything I have seen on FR to date. This is approaching Olympic proportions of idiocy.
To: ArneFufkin
Pfffft.
To: GeronL
You don't get it.... I starting to WISH for divided government again.bingo! GOP Congress did make cutting the deficit a priority and refused to give in to Clinton's spending proposals. GOP Congress can't say no to GOP WH spending, and vice versa. They've had their chance, and we've seen what they've done.
I'll take gridlock over ballooning government anyday...

LOL, Yup, it's silly season, the lonely thrid party folks are getting restless now that we are in an election year

I'll take gridlock over ballooning government anyday... Breath taking analysis.

Just enjoy your "Bushbot" status ... a fun, wealthy successful man and father with a Marine son and equally proud children and a beautiful wife you love and cherish. Given all those things, Tex, do not even try to overcome the emotional hammerlock of Representative Thomas Tancredo.
He's the man.
Good luck! I'm sick of dealing with them. Adios!
To: Texasforever
AMEN!
But if there is any consolation, it will all die down soon and the majority of them will see the stark lunacy of the LP and come back here asking for their "old room" back.
The President is waiting for the right moment to launch his campaign, after the DUmocrat primaries are over, it will be a purely class act with all the trimmings. I can hardly wait, along with all the others of us who remain faithfully by, keeping the flame burning.
To: ArneFufkin
hammerlock of Representative Thomas Tancredo. You mean the guy whose immediate ancestors had a better than even chance of being gasp "illegal aliens"? Yep what a guy. LOL
To: ArneFufkin
Aw Shucks Arne, You've been dropping them around here faster than Scalia and Cheney did when anything flying was fair game at the Sportsman Club. You can't quit now ;-)

Yep, the thing about the Cosa Nostra ... it was NEVER about bringing guys from Sicily, Sardinia and Naples in ... OUTSIDE ... fooking Ellis Island.
Italians were always about PROCESS! Ha!
Illegal Immigration has a bit of legacy IMO.
