There is a good chance you are correct. But people who work with Nuclear weapons should not take chances. We spend billions each year to test, in simulation, these damn things and they should not make it up as they go along.

Odds are the "engineer" who wrote the stupid, supercautious, dangerous delay proceedures never took one apart.
