However Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull's frontman, stood by his former bandmate, saying: "I found it difficult at first but I fully support his decision."

Not enough diversity training there Ian, it prefers to be called a she. It wasn't "his decision", it was her decision. Get it yet Ian? What are you, Thick as a Brick? Blackbird.

Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull's frontman

I met Ian Anderson years ago in the Holiday Inn parking lot. I had tickets for a Tull concert that was cancelled on very short notice (we were already at the venue).

I'd heard that the Stones stayed at the nearest Holiday Inn and I figured Tull would probably do the same. (obviously this was many years ago. I'm sure Jagger hasn't seen the inside of a Holiday Inn for years.)

Anyway, Ian and the boys were in the parking lot. Turns out they had arrived but their gear truck had broken down on the road. Did the typical fan thing, had a short chat, got some autographs, found out Ian is short.
