I could be wrong, but with the math I was taught, 800 mil dollars divided by 300 mil people isnt $2.67. Its more like $2,666,666. Somebody forgot to move that decimal point and add some zero's back on there.

I don't want to dis you, but if that's the case whoever taught you arithmetic needs to be flogged. You can drop the mil marker since it represents the same number of decimal places, then you can drop the remaining zeros for the same reason, and the solution is 8/3=2.67.
