Its more like $2,666,666 I don't want to dis you, but if that's the case whoever taught you arithmetic needs to be flogged. You can drop the mil marker since it represents the same number of decimal places, then you can drop the remaining zeros for the same reason, and the solution is 8/3=2.67.
