Here we go again...
BERLIN, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has been captured, Germany's Die Welt newspaper reported Thursday.
The newspaper, on its Web site, cited "unconfirmed reports" as the basis for its report.
Bin Laden is the Saudi dissident blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington that killed nearly 3,000 people. He was believed to be hiding along the Afghan-Pakistan border.

Die Welt isn't an insignificant German periodical. It might be a human interest type rag rather than a news rag, though.Die Welt is a very reputable newspaper. I guess you could compare it to the Wallstreet Journal

Elvis has been spotted in CubaPuhleeeze! Everyone knows that Elvis and Jim Morrison take turns in the purple dinosaur suit playing Barney for public television. That demanding schedule would not allow junkets to Cuba. Get you facts straight next time.

Why do you get weak in the knees when Iran comes in the picture? The US is more than capable of defanging these raghead mullahs. This question always puzzles me as why the militant right wingers in the US prefer to bend over every time Iran or Saudi Arabia does the evil work of radical Islam. If we are really the world only super-power, then we must act like one. Granted Saudi Arabia is the seat of Islam, and would require a sensitive way to approach it without igniting the rage of the billion Moslems, but it is doable if we explained it rationally to the world. IN WORLD FORUM!

Why do I feel like these are signals to sleeper cells? Beats me. Everybody knows Al Qeda's secret messages are encoded into those, er, 'self-improvement' spams. ;^)

"We shall see if Kim Clement is right about him being captured before 16 Feb."
Kim Clement also stated that Carmen's movie "The Champion" was going to be bigger than Forest Gump. Last I checked, it does not look good for this "prophetic word".
For those who don't know who he is and actually care...

I think the Saudis would use the excuse that they are the center of Islam and Osama is islamic. The truth is that the Wahabbis have them by the cajones and Osama is wahabbi.
They would play a religion card.
I think the issue with Iran would involve who made the report and if it were something provable externally.
Other than that, they'd just lie, and call it a false report.

There are a variety of ways to kill Osama, if that's the issue. But all of them involve finding out precisely where he's at. If he's in Iran, they ain't gonna tell.
It might be a great reason to invade Iran, but once we got it we gotta do something with it. I guess in Iran with their large democratic movement already in place that we could just do a quick regime change there, and then get leave.
But, I think they'd move Osama at first hint of a US invasion.
A missile and exact location would be easiest.
