That piece glosses over the amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens issue, just as Bush did in the SOTU.
It's just wrong, and for so many reasons.

Was there anything in that speech to get excited over? Quite frankly, I got bored and stopped listening. I was hoping he would try to redeem himself by announcing a plan to privatize SS, which in my mind is about the only thing he can do right now to redeem himself, but instead we got a small spending wish list, tax cuts, more illegals, etc. Wake me up when it's over....

I live in Salisbury and was pleasantly surprised by the positive editorial on President Bush's SOTU address. This is not the norm for our paper. Although we are in a conservative part of Maryland, the Daily Times tends to lean very liberal in their editorials.
I hope this means they may be a little more balanced in the future.
