We all had this common experience, but we never felt we could share it even with the people we were closest to.

If they thought abortion was perfectly okay, why were they ever ashamed?

BINGO!!!! I've been wondering that very thing. It's not as if you sit around at a dinner party, and the men talk about their knee surgeries and the women talk about their abortions. If it were such a good thing, and so many women have had them and NOT regretted it, why DON'T people talk about it casually? I know the answer- it's NOT simple, it's NOT a quick solution,.... it's NOT just a blob of tissue.

You honestly don't know why these women would ever feel any sort of shame?

If that's the case then you are certainly not listening to your own words nor are you reading anything you write.

These women are made to feel shamed by their actions by people who could never know what experiences or circumstances led them to the decision they ultimately made.

I'm curious if you would feel the same toward a girl/woman that's been raped or a victim of incest. Should she also be shamed and made to feel like she's evil for terminating her pregnancy.

What a lot of people don't even comprehend is that abortion in various forms has been practiced by women throughout history in myriad ways. Certain herbs, medicines and even extremely hot baths can cause a woman to spontaneously miscarry a fetus.

Until you've personally been in the same situation then you don't have any right to pass judgment on another person for their actions or decisions.
