Quick question, I remember reading somewhere that (in general, not always) children of the president usually go on to have some very sad and wretched lives.

I have heard that too. I don't know for sure. It seems the daughters I posted have all had good lives after their Father's terms. Patti Davis' life has been sketchy after the fact, but it would have been of her own making.

Something else, I personally got to know James Roosevelt (FDR son) in the late 70s. He was a great guy with a great house in Newport Beach, CA. He loved talking history to a young punk like me.
