Not "funny" laughable but "worthy of ridicule" laughable...

Kerry and Clinton knew well in advance of the events that were to take place and their roles in each - how scripted can you get? They scorn the military in their own way on one hand, yet they try to capitalize from it on the other hand.

The only thing scripted about the "Made in China" label incident was Bush's speech at that factory. Granted Bush's staffers had a hand in covering up the labels, but that would have happened unbeknownst to Bush.

"Let him have the photo op. He served his country, risked his life, and saved this man's life. God bless him for that. We are grateful for what he did as a young man."

Now, let's talk about what he is doing to hurt our nation and our commander in chief as we are waging a war on terror and defending Western Civilization"

doug, the issue isn't Kerry's genuine military service, by all accounts it was, indeed, honorable and heroic. The problem is his duplicitous conduct from that time forward. Beginnng with '71 when he staged that phony little tableau supposedly throwing his legitimately earned medals over the fence at the White House right up until this equally phony surprise reunion with Mr Rassman. He didn't throw away his medals, he threw away borrowed ones. He wasn't surprised to see Mr Rassman at that event last week, the moment was fake, he knew about it in advance.

Moreover, Mr Rassman told reporters that he had followed Kerry's career since '84, wrote to Kerry back then advising him he worked in law enforcement in the Los Angeles area and extended an invitation to dinner if Kerry was ever out that way. Kerry never answered his letter. He didn't have a need for Mr Rassman in his elitists Boston Brahmin life until last week.

Kerry distinguished himself once in the service of this country, I'm grateful for that, I respect and honor that service. However, since that time he has become a calculating opportunists who wants it both ways. He says he supports our military yet votes to pull the rug from under them by voting against funding to pay for reconstruction of Iraq and Afghanistan, thereby, endangering our troops, crippling their efforts to stablize those countries and ultiimately delaying the return home of tens or thousands of our men and women. Some support.

At best he is disingenuous, at worse an unconscionable liar with ia history of behavior that mocks and cheapens the sacrifices of others.

Exactly. We should not get sidetracked nitpicking over whether Kerry really was surprised to see the man in the crowd or not. There are bigger fish to fry and more important issues to challenge him on.

ACU - Kerry - 6

He sure did, and he made a valid connection between Kerry's staged 'reunion' and changes that were made when staging an appearance by President Bush. Both actions are about image, not substance .. and both suck.

Also, just to keep the record straight, I think Bush has more substance in his smallest fart than ketchup boy does in his whole being.

Thanks for the ping. Mr Rassman tried to get in touch with Kerry 20 years ago. But, Kerry, apparently, had no time for this former sheriff's deputy in his busy social life until last week since he never replied to Rassman's letter.

But Darlin', that doesn't bother Rassman. He is fully supporting Kerry.

I am not defending Ketchup boy for feigning surprise when he knew full well the man was there, but it is not a huge deal in the scheme of things. Other issues surrounding Kerry that you pointed out in your other post qualify; the Rassman issue in particular does not.

Well, I'd expect Rassman to support Kerry, he owes his life to him, I certainly would if I were him. The Rassman issue speaks to Kerry's lack of candor and character. It was Kerry's ambition that permitted him to haul Mr Rassman out before the cameras in a phonied up touchy feely moment for the Iowa voters. If Kerry had any substance he would have insisted on a private reunion with Rassman and then perhaps a public appearance together. Instead he participateid in a sham that appears to have taken a nip out of his condescending backside.

I don't disagree that he should be ashamed for what he is doing to the country. My point is that, in the realm of his sins, this is venial, not mortal. There are bigger issues we need to attack.

Doug, how about refreshing our memories about Kerry and Jane Fonda? I, for one, have forgotten, and it sounds like something we should all know.
