Thanks for posting that about Perot. I have been telling some of these people that a lot of Republicans that voted for Perot wish they handn't because it taught us a horrible lesson -- we got Bill Clinton!

>>Am I not allowed to be angry at this?

If you hadn't spent so much time overseas, you'd realize that in the good old USA you'd be sent to the reedu...er, anger management therapy.

Dissent is a sign of mental illness and anger means you're internally conflicted and projecting your own anxieties and neuroses onto political players and events.

Turning America into a third world country is not just something to be "upset" about. I will take this puzzle to my grave.

Apology accepted with gladness. I can only say that I hope you are right, but the signs are very troubling to me.

Uh - Hum.....

I for one do not have any problem with him regarding his stand on immigration.

Our community has had a 40% growth in the hispanic community (primarily Mexican) over the past 10 years.

This growth has done much to stimulate our economy here; one that 8 or so years ago was on the bring of bankruptcy, primarily due to the moving of IBM from the area.

My issue with our President is over these so-called "tax-breaks"...I am a single parent, making no more $45K a year. For the first time since I can remember, I am making out a check to the IRS. So of course, I am wondering where is MY tax break?

And I am not a happy camper re: CFR.

But like I said in an earlier post, I am not a one-note-Johnny. No President I ever vote for is going to give me 100% of what I want...if one can give me a bigger percentage than another one can, I'll stick with him.

If I believed your premise to be even remotely true, I would be upset as well.

For the most fundamental reasons, I do not believe freedom is possible in any muslim country - never has existed to this day. I predict Iraq will end up with some sort of theocracy or semi-theocracy.

Of course it will. Leave the Muslims alone in Iraq for half a second and a generation from now, somebody will be right back there trying to 'fix' things again. Ask yourself in the past 100 years alone, how many of these Muslim run nations are considered a republic or a democracy? One. And that's Turkey. And it's been on the verge for 70 years

You were obviously not a conservative in principle -- just another republican pretender I'd bet.

I love it when that charge comes out. 'You don't agree completely with me and my ideal of the true conservative so you're not a real conservative.

>>I will take this puzzle to my grave.

Uh, don't. Here some, IMO, answers.

Making illegal money available to SS via the FICA payroll deduction.

Unmentioned, but the future privatization of PEMEX, Mexico's state run oil monopoly.

Stuff like this really teaches me who my friends are. You use to be very nice to me and polite to me when I agreed with what you said. I noticed though that the first time I disagreed with you several months ago on a thread, you haven't been nice since. I was very disappointed when I realized that you seem to only be able to be friends with those that agree with everything you say. I harbor no ill-will towards you, I am just disappointed.

FGS, if I say Bush sucks, will you still be friends with me? Check "yes" or "no."

Do you think this is high school?

And will you be be upset with me if I point out that YOU threw the first presonal attacks to ME on this thread.

As for this remark:

I was very disappointed when I realized that you seem to only be able to be friends with those that agree with everything you say.

it appears from your posts on THIS VERY THREAD that you are the one who's upset when somebody disagrees with you. If it makes you feel better to say stuff like that, go right ahead; it doesn't change the fact that Bikers4Bush was talking out of his hat and, when shown the facts, continued to do mischaracterize his posts.

FGS, grow up.

Man, was that lame. I never did understand how anyone voted for him after that crap

A couple of reasons: misdirected, ill informed anger;a desire to send a message;a stubbornly foolish desire to prove themselves right;a willful ignorance of what Perot truly was;childish stupidity masquerading as principle. These come to mind fairly easily.

*Sigh* --- Richard, Richard, Richard. "Priniciples" --- you're idea of "priniciples" in the political arena seats you in the back row balcony every time.

You're not a player, just a viewer, bitching from the sideline.
