Former President Ronald Reagan's youngest son, Ron Jr., is writing a commentary "urging the end of the Bush administration," Fox News' Roger Friedman reported today. "Reagan has always been a vocal opponent of his father's political party, but never as much as he is now. He told me he will write an article of undetermined length for Esquire explaining why George W. Bush should not be re-elected."
One reason: Bush's opposition to stem-cell research that destroys human embryos. Critics of the ban say such research could help people suffering from diseases such as Alzheimer's, which has devastated the former president.
"It's unbelievable that Bush doesn't approve stem-cell research," Reagan Jr. said, although the president has in fact supported some research.
And what does he think of Viacom's TV movie about his parents, which CBS refused to air and lobbed over to the cable channel Showtime?
"I saw it on tape," he said. "Someone sent it to me. I think my mother saw some clips from it. It looked to me like a 'Saturday Night Live' sketch.
"I mean, it was just so bad. And who cared? James Brolin did a terrible imitation of my father. Judy Davis is a good actress, but she's not my mother. The problem is that people made such a big deal out of it, but in the end it was nothing."

Why George W. Bush should be re-elected,
Churchill said "ours is the worst form of govt. except for all the other forms of govt."
I will say that GWB is the worst possible president, except for all the other candidates running for president.
Sorry, but pat buchanan, tancredo, ron paul, etc. are not getting elected.

It's abortion that kills human embryos!!Hell, why wait that long. Just let Ron pick someone off the street and tell them he is going to strip them of their organs because someone is more important.

Wow... that's really shallow coming from a son of Reagan. You'd think that his objections would be to the growth of the government.

Isn't Ron Reagan Jr. the "metrosexual" who urged people to vote against Ronaldus Magnus?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
If Ronnie Jr feels he can go public with his political feeling then we will be writing to the dog shows that he co hosts and let them know we won't be watching any more if junior is hosting.

Esquire ought to run a counterpoint from Mike Reagan in the same issue.
