Christians in Pakistan fear a 14-year-old girl kidnapped by several men will be forced to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim.

Shamim Kausor, of the district of Toba Tek Singh in Punjab province, was abducted from her home Dec. 31 by men who pulled up in a jeep and took her away by gunpoint, according to the Washington, D.C.-based persecution monitor International Christian Concern.

ICC said young Christian girls in Pakistan often are abducted and raped and forced to marry Muslim men but generally have no rights or recourse for the crimes committed against them.

This was the second abduction of Kausor, and several neighbors recognized a man who kidnapped her several months ago.

At that time, Kausor's father, Afzal Masih, employed the help of police to rescue his daughter. He tried to initiate legal proceedings against the man but was strongly dissuaded by Muslim village leaders.

The kidnapper taunted and threatened the girl after the first abduction, ICC reported.

At one point he said, "A beautiful girl like you should not remain Christian. I will make you Muslim and you will bear a Muslim child."

The police are not interested in helping Masih this time, however, ICC said.

In November, 15-year-old Pakistani Christian boy was kidnapped and taken to a strict Islamic religious school where he was beaten to submission and forced to declare he is a Muslim, according to an international aid group.

That is a very odd thing to say...All women are my sisters. People are raped every hour of every day, this girl at least gets to live and be married, still horrible, but no more so because she is a Christian.

Indeed, this MUST be considered as an isolated incident. It is very improper NOT to connect this incident in any way with the murder and enslavement of Christians by Muslims in the Sudan or the murder of Christians in Indonesia and Philippines or the murder of 3,000 Americans on Sept 11, 2001. Assuredly, one MUST NOT connect any of these incidents with what is directly stated in the Koran or any of the other Muslim religious documents.

Islam IS a RELIGION OF PEACE. We have been told so and MUST ignore all evidence to the contrary... Everybody got that?

Well, Islam is a religion of peace... but the word peace in their culture means a dramatically different set of circumstances than the word peace in all other cultures. Peace to them is the state of things after Islam dominates.

I see your point... Analogously, armed bank robbery is not a violent crime if everybody just gives their money to the would-be robber whenever he or she shows up, whether or not they really want to keep their money or not... there never was crime and everything is peaceful, right?

Maybe we ought to be contributing more to Christian
mission work to convert these pagans. - Pray the
Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers
into the harvest. Those Muslim fields are "white unto
harvest" as Jesus said about the mission fields in
his time. Lift up your eyes unto the harvest.
