Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry (apparently new web site)
Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry ^ | on or before January 21, 2004 | U.S. Veteran Dispatch

On the campaign trail, White House wannabe Sen. John Forbes Kerry regularly mentions his Vietnam War combat experience, during which he received three purple hearts, the Silver Star and Bronze Star. However, the Massachusetts Democrat doesn't like to talk much about how he received the awards or the time after he returned home when he was rubbing shoulders with Hanoi Jane Fonda as a much-celebrated organizer for one of America's most radical pro-communist groups. Only two problems with your self-congratulatory rant--the fellow who said that said "some" Vets. And he also served in Vietnam as a Marine.

But have a great time voting for Kerry! You patriot you!

"I am represented in Congress by Steve Pearce (R NM) who is also a Vietnam Vet. And I support him 1000% percent for the same reason I will vote for Kerry. He didn't ask some ghetto kid to pull his military service for him while he hid out in College or the Guard. Then come asking for the honor of elected Office."

No doubt you voted for this other hero in the last election:

I deeply admire all of those who served and appreciate their service to no end, but that doesn't get them a free pass for anything. Just because you served in the Armed Forces doesn't mean you're entitled to the Presidency, a governorship, a seat in Congress, or a free Twinkie at the WaWa. Those who were the uniform of our country are still mere mortals like the rest of us....they can still support stupid ideas, they can still make mistakes, and they are not above anyone who hasn't done their time. John Kerry served his country, and that's great, but that does not entitle him to my support or my vote. Same with Wes Clark. The Peisdential election is about supporting and voting for the best candidate, not the best soldier.

One addendum to my poorly typed response:

I don't mean to imply that all soldiers think they're entitled to something simply on the basis of the service. Just want to make that clear.

Admirable?? Not really. All too many Purple Hearts are handed out, especially to the officer corp. My brother-in-law was shot up badly twice, long hospital stays. He did two tours on the River, no easy way out. At the close of the war and 12 years service, the Navy refused his re-enlistment. Only the direct intervention of Admiral Zumwalt allowed him to finish his twenty years of service.

He still carries around metal inside. No, all Purple Hearts are not the same.

Have to inform you that my first husband was in Vietnam and he told me about the thing that our soldiers did there. John Kerry told the truth. He did not lie. Were you in Vietnam? If so, are you still trying to cover up what was done to the women, girls etc? It did happen. To many soldiers have admitted to it.

Guess What????? the web site Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry has been taken down!! Wonder Why. I have most of it saved to disk from Google cache, but I'm still missing the picture of Kerry being arrested. That has mysteriously dissapeared from the internet. He must have called Al Gore to have him remove it from "his" internet. look for http://VetsAgainstKerry.com soon.

Linda Vester, Fox, had reps from three campaigns on her show yesterday. Jean Shaheen was Kerry's representative. Linda pulled no punches with her question to Shaheen about questions about Kerry's military/activist history and mentioned 'Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry' in her question. Shaheen did not like it at all! Maybe that had something to do with it.....or Al Gore decided to take his internet away from them.:)

OK, The Web site is back on line. I guess that is why Linda Vestor didn't respond to my email to her that it was down.

Sorry to disappoint, the reuniting with the old war buddy was staged, cameras were placed and people arranged to ensure max press coverage. This came out a couple of days later. Only question is did Kerry know (on would think so) or was it staged by his handlers.

Glad to see it's back up. I thought I'd found the reason it was down in this article by Kate O'Bierne in the National Review. She had a link to the site that would give it a lot of exposure. The link didn't work earlier, but it does now.
Link to article here:

I think I'll post it.

President Bush did not lie to the American people. He did just like other presidents before him and relied on his intelligence personnel for accurate information. His intelligence personnel let him down, he didn't lie to us. By the way, former President Clinton also stated in a speech that he gave during his presidency that Hussein had or was acquiring WMDs. Hussein had 12 years to hide them and he hid them well. I believe that as the inspectors were visiting one place, the WMDs were traveling to another place. You see, the inspectors were inspecting buildings and not the cross-country-vehicles that contained the WMDs.

It is a real shame that people rely on statements made by the so called unbiased Media for their total view of so called facts, I will not suggest that Bush is a perfect person, nor would I say he is a Great President, I do personally believe he is doing the job to the best of his ability, and hope that others will remember that a President can not enter into a War without the Aproval of Congress so it is not fair to say HE DID THIS ON HIS OWN. Also The United Nations were not holding Iraq to account for violations of an agreement they made. it may well be found that WMD does not exist, that does not remove the belief that it was seriously believed that they did, also one very small point of interest, where would we be right now if Gore had been in the White House when 9-11 happened?
