I have a real life example to help my comprehension.

Our office assitant just got a job offer from Hooters less than a hour ago, if she takes it (and she probably will), we'll need help.

Ms. Lopez is of Puerto Rican descent and is known to get very upset when people mistakenly assume she's Mexican. She has always had U.S. citizenship.
